Birthday Sketch Challenge

This is a Birthday Card I made for the Circle weekly challenge.  This weeks was a sketch using buttons.  I used the Imagine Yummy cart to make the cake, the bear is a stamp that I colored with Copics and the 'happy birthday' is a Hero stamp.  The buttons were in a pack that I bought at Michaels long ago.

Circle Club Monthly Challenge

This is a scrapbook page I did for the Circle Club Monthly Challenge, the requirements were:
Use the Shadow Feature
Use Patterned Paper
Use embellishments
I used the Fench Manor for the dress form, the Forever Young cart for the fashions and the font and Country Life for the sewing machine.  I embellished the "fashions" with ribbons and pearls.  The sewing machine drawers knobs were the hot iron brads.  The photo is of a neighbor whose mother made the prom dress she is wearing.

My son's football scrapbook page

Fall is Football Season
The weekly Circle Club Challenge was to do a project about autumn and use the colors of maroon, beige and orange.  To me Fall is the start of Football Season and my son when he was in high school was totally immersed in the sport.  His team did so well they won their division and had their final playoff game at the Syracuse Dome.  He made the first touchdown and this team went on to win the title.

Thanks to Emma of My Creative Time and her lessons on the Gypsy, I was able to meld the Disney Characters into cards for my grandsons birthdays.

Take Time To Craft

In this busy, electronic world there a so few things that are truly original. Crafting is creating something that belongs to you alone. It celebrates your talent and comforts and lifts your spirit. An item that is 'homemade' truly comes from the heart. We all have been blessed with some gift of skill and we just need to try a few things to find out what that skill is. As my mother used to say 'God gave everybody something special" and it is your job to find out what that is. I have started this blog to share my 'creative projects' with anyone who wants to look at them.
A little bit about me:
I am a mother of 2 grown kids ... Kat and Kenny. I am also a grandmother of 2 amazing little boys, Chris and Mike ages 2 and 4. I retired from Pharmaceutical Sales because of shoulder problem and eventually had a total shoulder replacement last September, so far a great success. I live in S. Florida with my faithful companion Cane, a rescue dog, and 2 cats.
Much of my time is taken up by my work with a local rescue group and the many duties as president of our homeowners association.
My goal for this blog is to share my creations and ideas and hints and tips along with likes and dislikes of all things crafty.
My wish is to inspire those who feel that they would like to craft something.
